Tried to take my son and two of his friends skiing yesterday. Got to the ski resort and it was closed because they were expecting rain. CLOSED!
We had to go bowling instead, although I did get to stay warm at least.
And before you go thinking what a dufus I am, I was on the website for the ski resort on Saturday night and on Sunday morning before we left. The weather report was no rain until late in the afternoon and they had nothing on their website indicating that they were not going to open. Int he old days, I would done it the old-fashioned way and called on the phone. DAMN THE INTERNET!
Another fine example of the benefits of technology.
