DAVE: I saw an ad tonight during Jeopardy for Jason Altmire. You probably saw the ad as well. The way he distances himself from the President and Pelosi, the ad seems like an ad for a republican candidate. What a sell-out. Was Melissa Hart really any worse than he is?

DAD: Melissa Hart might as well be back in the House. Altmire is no different. He is a coward who is interested only in his own re-election. Let's hope his strategy back fires.

Are you kidding me? You have just judged a 6 year record on 3 votes. If you want a candidate that is farther to the left, then you will get a extreme Republican like Hart or Rothfus. Look at the district’s voters. A majority of the Democrats in the district were against the healthcare bill. if you want someone that votes with labor unions, for environmental issues, for art issues, for LGBT issues, and countless other Democratic/liberal issues than your best bet is someone like Altmire. Look at the whole record before you sound like a closed minded right winger like Rothfus that told me we need to get rid of Altmire because he votes for Pelosi and against ‘regular’ light bulbs.

I appreciate your comments. Actually, I would NEVER vote for a republican candidate. The lone exception would be if it was someone running against the Lukester as a republican. I just wish that Altmire showed more leadership and loyalty by not going out of his way to distance himself from Obama and Pelosi by name. It seems to me that he is responding to the current anti-Obama and Pelosi rhetoric of the republicans in an effort to get re-elected. And I'm just not down with that. It doesn't mean that I wouldn't vote for him.
